What is Hospital OS?
Hospital OS is a research and development project for a Hospital Management Software to support small rural hospitals in Thailand. It is financially supported by the Thailand Research Fund (TRF). "Hospital OS" is also used as the name of the software.

The development concept is to be an open source software, which means that the source code of the software can be downloaded for use by anyone. Hospital OS also promotes the programmer or system administrator to assist each other in solving any issue that arises through the online community.

- The hospital director sees the importance in using the software to manage the hospital.
- Technical requirements are as following,
- The network speed of 100 Mb or faster.
- The hospital has a server.
- The client units have Celeron 800 MHz with 128 MB+ RAM at minimum.
- The hospital has a responsible administrative person who can install Linux and knows SQL.
